Punta Cana: Best all-inclusive resort – Everything you need to know
Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Bavaro is Punta Cana’s best all-inclusive resort. It has a five-star rating, and has been newly renovated with a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean, several restaurants and bars (many with healthy options), an incredible assortment of wellness offerings including a state of the art gym, spa, fitness classes, yoga and more.
We love that Iberostar is paving the way for all-inclusive resorts to be more sustainable with their Wave of Change Movement. Here are some actions they’ve already taken:
- They have removed single-use plastics from all of their 100+ properties around the world.
- They are going carbon neutral by 2030.
- They created The Coral Lab, which is helping to discover ways to restore the reef out front of the Iberostar Selection Bavaro resort.
- They have added compost and recycle bins to all guest rooms.
Sunwing has now labeled all of the eco-friendly resorts on their website, making it easier for us to find and book one. We love this because sustainability is important to us when we travel.

Restaurants
With several bars and restaurants on the property, there really is something for every palette at Coral Level. Our favourite restaurant was Salt and Soul, a seafood-focused restaurant that highlights local flavours and has incredible views of the ocean. Since the resort is so huge, you can also resort hop to their sister resorts and dine at their restaurants, so there are tons of options depending on what you feel like eating. And, if you don’t want to leave your room, you can always order some of their incredible room service!
The Beach
It’s the Punta Cana best all-inclusive resort for a reason! Located on Bavaro Beach, the view really is breathtaking. The beach has beautiful soft sand and there is an unobstructed view of the ocean from the resort. What we loved most about this resort is how it was less about party vibes and more so about relaxing, tranquility and wellness. We found the beach at Coral Level to be very peaceful. We loved taking long walks at sunrise and sunset and cooling off in the ocean during the day.

We loved the wellness angle at this resort. As two people who work a lot, when we are away we love to be at resorts that value wellness. This Punta Cana best all-inclusive resort has a state of the art spa, a beautiful fitness centre, daily spin classes and kickboxing, yoga, and water bottle fill stations all around the resort. Everything here is focused around their guests’ overall wellness.

Explore Saona Island
Saona Island is an uninhabited island off the coast of Bavaro Beach. Its conserved land part of the East National Park. Saona Island is known for its coral reef. The reef here is so healthy and live, it’s the perfect place to dive or snorkel.
We took a full-day excursion and went diving and snorkeling around Saona Island. The excursion included lunch and fresh coconut water. We did a full day tour and explored the island by foot and by water. We started off by doing some diving, but if you don’t dive they also offer snorkelling. For the second half of the day we enjoyed lunch on the beach, explored the island and swam in the pristine water. We ended the day in a sand bar that has a ton of starfish. You can book a tour through Nexus Tours.
